Spontaneous disseminated mycosis fungoides (S-MF) is a rare dermatosis that does not have a good prognosis. To date, there are no data about the natural history of this disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the natural history of S-MF. We identified all patients diagnosed with S-MF from 2000 to 2018 by searching the database of our tertiary referral center for oncology. Patients with previously diagnosed or treated S-MF or inflammatory dermatoses were excluded from the study. The course of S-MF was evaluated based on clinical follow-up visits and skin biopsies. Of 188 patients with S-MF, 73.3% were male and 26.7% were female. Mean age at onset was 43.9 years. Mean disease duration before diagnosis was 2.2 years. Mean follow-up was 47.9 months. During follow-up, no significant changes in total skin surface area affected by S-MF were noted.
